This award is a recognition of my career but also of my connection with Japan. I think these Foundations that bring together two great countries are very necessary so with the work of both of them they can help each other, which I think it's the best way to keep evolving. I've had that connection with Japan for a long time cause I travel there a lot, I've competed and worked a lot in Japan. Besides all the people I know there. Known by all, one of my greatest rivals but also one of my greatest friends in the sport, Yuzuru Hanyu. I think that it shows what it's needed many times with people from different countries, companies from different countries... that often we need the support to keep going and between both of us we can keep growing and much better than we already are.
